It is with great sadness, that we at Historic Sugartown, Inc., announce the death of John Nagy, our President and Founder, on May 5, 2006. For over twenty five years, John's passion was Historic Sugartown, its restoration and preservation for all future generations to enjoy. Another passion, his book "Acres of Quakers", co-authored with Penny Goulding, was a massive undertaking and accomplishment. This extensive project, with over 700 pages, chronicles the history of Willistown Township and the village of Sugartown up until the early 1900s. |

Upon publication this year, it will serve as another legacy left to us by John Nagy. The book is due to be published in the summer of 2006. We at Historic Sugartown, Inc. were so fortunate in having worked with John in helping to accomplish his goals, be it fundraising; educating the public; and of course his vision for historic preservation in Willistown. We will miss his strength, determination, and tenacious drive. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Nagy family at this difficult time. An endowment fund has been established in memory of John. Contributions should be made payable to:
Historic Sugartown Inc./Endowment Fund Your donation will continue John's legacy. For more information, please visit our Charitable Contributions page.
