The Pennsylvania Forebay Barn

The frame barn is a variation of the standard Pennsylvania bank barn.  The structure was built in two sections.  The earlier one, to the east, has stable-high stone walls, while the newer portion to the west is totally of frame on stone footings.  The bridge entered the threshing floor through the forebay, forming a hay mow on each side.  There is a large wooden water storage tank on a platform in the northwest corner of the building.

The barn houses Historic Sugartown's collections of Antique Vehicles, farm implements and hand tools.
